Kromanti: Pineapple and Elderflower Fizz
A guide on how to make a delicious Pineapple and Elderflower Fizz cocktail.
As part of our black history month series we are celebrating black owned spirits and beverage brands.
We collaborated with Kromanti Rum to create this delicious Pineapple and Elderflower Fizz cocktail.
The flavours in this cocktail were carefully selected to ensure that the infused herbs and spices in the rum were accentuated.
The elderflower was added support the rums tamarind notes as they share a spicy aromatic element (balsamic).
Pineapple was added to enhance the spiced components while also adding a fruity kick.
Flavour profile: Spiced, fruity, floral
Ingredients:
50ml Kromanti rum
25ml Lemon juice
Half and half of Elderflower presse and pineapple juice
Method:
-Fill a glass with crushed ice
-Add 8 mint leaves, lemon juice, pineapple juice and elderflower presse
-Top the drink with a spiced rum float
Flaming lime garnish:
-Remove the flesh from half a lime and place a sugar cube inside
-Fill the lime half with spiced rum and light it using a flame torch
-Lightly sprinkle cinnamon to intensify the orange glow to the flame
