Virgin Pina Colada
A guide on how to make a virgin Pina Colada with a gingery twist!
The Pina Colada cocktail is an all-time favourite cocktail originating in Puerto Rico. Whether it is shaken over ice or blended it is for sure one of the most enjoyed tropical cocktails.
It took me a while to get used to the usual pina colada cocktail flavour but I realised that I prefer mine a lot more fruity as opposed to creamy.
To spice up the recipe, I added a dash of ginger syrup to give it an extra kick since it didn’t have alcohol and it worked a treat!
Alterations: The ratios below will make for a much more fruity version so if you like yours more creamy feel free to add more coconut cream
Ingredients:
2 cups of frozen pineapples
2 teaspoons of coconut cream
Drizzle of honey
Lime juice
25ml homemade ginger syrup
Method:
Place all the ingredients in a blender with ice and blend till smooth
Garnish:
Lime wheel and pineapple leaves
