Pineapple & Ginger Smash

A guide on how to make a refreshing pineapple and ginger smash cocktail.

We had the pleasure to create recipes for Kromanti Rum and our aim was to select fruits and ingredients with the flavour profile to best compliment the tamarind spiced rum.

We combined pineapple and ginger to provide a fruity yet spicy kick which is super refreshing and perfect for the summer time!

This is the kind of recipe that you enjoy in the back garden while cooking up your favourites on the bbq!

Flavour profile: Fruity, spiced, fresh

Ingredients:

50ml Kromanti rum

25ml Ginger cordial

15ml Lime juice

25ml Pineapple juice

Lime wedges

Mint

Fresh Pineapple

Method:

1) Add 3 fresh pineapple wedges and 3 lime wedges to a long glass and muddle

2) Add 7 mint leaves and muddle again

3) Fill the glass with crushed ice and mint leaves and a lime wheel

4) To a shaker, add kromanti rum, ginger cordial, pineapple juice, lime juice, shake with ice and pour into the tall glass

Garnish:

Pineapple wedge

Sprig of mint
